Funny Softball Cheers - Why Are Girls in Fastpitch Softball Cheering So Much?
Anybody that has ever walked or driven by a local softball field during a girls' fastpitch softball game has noticed all these funny softball cheers. These softball cheers are a big part of the game for these girls. It brings them together and they use it cheers themselves up or to tease the opposite team sometimes.
It's not something you see much in baseball. Actually, in baseball, there is a negative image associated with cheering, especially as the boys get a little older and out of childhood.
But why are girls cheering so much? Well I have my little theory on that. Check my youtube video below to see what I think.

you need dto put the cheers in letters instead of vidios. it is hard to understand them.
I have to agree with bob fence. Put the cheers in words like other sites so we can understand them. Their voices are 'blurry'
Ok for one thing we dont"CHEER" and we deffinately arent "Cheerleaders!!!" we chant!!! And its not to make us feel "belonging" either! its because when you are up to bat you dont just want to stand there and watch we chant to make the game more interesting and when we chant we get the audience to yell with us too!
we cheer to mess with the other teams concentration, not to have a gay warm fuzzy feeling.
we cheer 2 mess the other team up normally we bring new cheers so tht they r paying attention 2 us instead of the game
There is this one team in my league that cant be beat there pitcher is super good and has a good change up so we cheer when she pitches to make her mess up. we dont cheer to have fun.
Apples, peaches, pumpkin pie
Hit that ball and make it fly!
i have a cheer it goes like this :turn around like mc hammer ,touch the ground like salt and pepper ,shake your bootie like tootie frutie go
go say what your gonna do go {and do the actions}
we do the apples peaches pumpkin pie to and the strawberry short cake huckle berry pie
I think all u guys are wrong…u cheer to incourage your team on and to have fun not to mess with the other team, when u do that ur just inbarrsing ur self and your county u are living and sponcering softball at….Oh yea and when u trie to mess with the other team i think all u need to learn GOOD SPORTSMENSHIP… Thats what i think!!!!
