Fastpitch Softball Drills – Two Pitch Game

Purpose: To practice on specific game situations for softball hitting and to improve the player's concentration during specific game situations.

Procedure: The teams play an intrasquad game with each batter going to the plate getting only two pitches. If the batter hits the first pitch, the batter runs the bases in a game-like manner. If the batter takes the first pitch, the batter has one more pitch to hit or it counts as an out. The defensive and the offensive teams play the two pitch game with the same rules that they would play a regulation game.
