Fastpitch Softball Pitching Drills – The Step Drill

Purpose: To help a pitcher with her stride which may not be long enough or foreceful enough.

Procedure: To see if you have a problem with your stride when softball pitching, have a partner hold a strick in front of you before you begin your motion. As you stride, make sure your foot goes over the stick.
