Free Softball Drills – Back Toss

Purpose: To practice keeping the hand inside the ball when softball hitting and driving the barrel through the ball.

Procedure: The tosser stands behind the batter. The batter turns her head slightly to track the ball. The toss should be on an inside-out path. The batter must wait on the ball, make contact out in front of the plate, and then drive hard through it.
