Softball Drills - Circle the Coach Drill

Purpose: Conditioning drill which develops fielding and throwing skills on the move incorporating good balance and timing.

Players: Three or four.

Field: Open infield or outfield area.

Instructions: The players form a circle around the coach about 20 feet away. The players begin to jog in a circular clockwise fashion around the coach. The coach begins by throwing the ball in front of (leading) each player. The player scoops up the ball on the move and turns to throw back to the coach.

Note: You can also have them do this anti clockwise.

Coaching  Cues: Keep a rapid pace.
