Softball Sliding Drills – Multi-Sliding Drill

Purpose: To improve the different softball sliding techniques.

Procedure: Four or more runners are at each base and the head coach is in the pitching area. The first runner in each line will run toward the next base and do a specific slide. An example would be, the runner going into second base does a bent-leg or pop-up slide, the runner going into third base does a head-first slide, and the runner going into home does a hook slide. After the runner slides at home plate, the runner jogs to first base, and the drill is repeated for as long as desired.
