Youth Softball Practice Drills – Partner Front Soft Toss

Purpose: Sofball drill related to bunting and in particular helps players develop bat and ball control while bunting. This drill allows many repetitions in a small area and in a short time.

Procedure: Players practice all bunting skills using any type of bals. One player tosses underhand to the bunter. The players should be about 15 feet apart. They use Wiffle bals when practicing chops, slashes, and slaps. The batter must already be in bunting position because there is no time to pivot.
