Softball Training Tips - Improve Your Spinal Flexibility!

Players and coaches are always looking for softball training tips and for an edge to improve their performance.

One of the most overlooked but very important physical quality required in softball is spinal and trunk flexibility.  An improved range of motion for trunk rotation, in addition to preventing injuries (especially back injuries),  can make a big difference in your ability to generate power for throwing and hitting.

It's a well-known fact in golf that good spinal flexibility helps your swing and allows you to hit the ball further and helps prevent injuries. Well, softball is no different.

Here's a yoga video that shows you excellent exercises to improve spinal and trunk flexibility. The off-season is the best time of the year to start working on it. You should incorporate some of these exercises or the whole routine into your training regiment and do 2-3x per week for a couple of months. You'll be amazed at the difference it will make in your game!

Ideas anyone?
